Piso Movie Ticket

Piso Movie Ticket

I used my complimentary pass to watch Despicable Me but it’s only 99% free. I paid one Peso for amusement & cultural tax. I’ll not get into detail with that and what I want to share is my first time experience in watching a movie in cinema alone. I was having second thoughts in trying to watch a movie alone and even had the idea to sell my complimentary tickets. But this is an opportunity I’m not going to pass. Last night, I bravely bought/exchanged one of my complimentary passes for a last full show of Despicable Me. When I entered the cinema I breathe a sigh of relief when I saw that it’s not packed and there are lots of vacant seat. I did not choose a good spot anymore and I immediately seat to the nearest vacant seat without any seat mates. Once the movie had started, all felt normal. I felt comfortable when the movie captured my full attention. I only then realize that I’m all alone when I started eating my food I brought in. But after I finished eating and resumed to full watching, all is normal again. When the movie is nearing its end, I just waited for the credits to start rolling and left the place instantly. I’ll not say that watching movie alone is a good experience but it’s worth the try.

A beautiful song matched with a fantastic “The Making Of” music video. The powerful voices & tightness of the band gives me chills. Brilliant arrangement. Must watch.

Orbital Outtakes, Decode

This short clip of me & my friends jamming Paramore’s Decode happened last summer. My brother just bought a set of drum mics and we need to test it out so we invited Paul the drummer & Sid the vocalist to jam in our house. As I can remember we ran out of songs to jam and Sid’s girlfriend requested this song out of nowhere. You will hear Paul the drummer disapprovingly laughing at the beginning of the recording. It turns out he knows the song well. Enjoy! (We did not mic the guitar, bass & vocal anymore. What you will hear is mainly the drum & spills of other instruments.)

Complimentary Pass

•September 18, 2010 • 4 Comments

Remember my post where I received a check for answering surveys online? Well this time I received not a check but complimentary passes for SM Cinema by answering a survey from a credit card company. It’s the same company that offered a tall drink from Starbucks when you spend Php2,000.00 using your credit card. Getting two SM cinema passes for answering a short survey online is a good deal for me. The only down side here is the passes will expire this coming October so I must use it soon. Despicable Me in 3D perhaps?

Dying Star

Finally, a new guitar video after a long time. I’ve been wanting to go back into music composition but I can’t find time & ideas to push me into recording. Last week, my brother had his 7 string guitar refretted and I have the opportunity to play it. So after a couple of noodling, I came up with “Dying Star”.
